Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-04-21

1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms govern your use of Farahak ("the Service"), an online marketplace connecting event clients with verified vendors in Jordan. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep your account details up to date. We may suspend or terminate accounts that provide false or misleading information.

3. The marketplace role

Farahak is a platform: we verify vendor listings, relay messages, and facilitate quote requests and bookings. The actual event service is provided by the vendor you book, not by Farahak.

Any contract for the event service is between the client and the vendor. Farahak is not a party to that contract, but we support dispute resolution where our platform was used.

4. Requests, quotes and bookings

Sending a quote request is free and non-binding. The vendor reviews the details and returns a quote. A booking is confirmed only after the client accepts a quote and any required deposit has been paid through Farahak.

Payment terms, deposits, refunds, and cancellations are set by each vendor and must be clearly displayed on the quote. You should review them carefully before accepting.

5. Fees and payments

Browsing and sending quote requests are free for clients. Vendors pay a platform commission on confirmed bookings; the commission rate is shown during vendor onboarding and is subject to change on 30 days' notice.

Payments processed through Farahak are held in a secure account until the service is performed or a refund is required under the vendor's stated policy or our dispute resolution process.

6. Cancellations and disputes

If you need to cancel a booking, contact the vendor first. Each vendor publishes its own cancellation policy on the quote — this policy governs refund amounts and deadlines.

If a client and vendor cannot resolve a dispute directly, either party may open a dispute with Farahak within 14 days of the event date. We review the evidence (messages, quote, payment records) and issue a decision that is binding on both parties for refunds processed through our platform.

7. Vendor responsibilities

Vendors agree to provide accurate listings, honour the terms in their quotes, respond to approved inquiries within 48 hours, deliver services as described, and comply with applicable laws and licences in Jordan.

Vendors must not contact clients outside the Farahak platform to bypass platform fees. Doing so may result in suspension and forfeiture of commissions on affected bookings.

8. Client responsibilities

Clients agree to provide truthful event details, to communicate respectfully with vendors, to honour confirmed bookings, and to not misuse the platform (for example, submitting fake inquiries).

Repeated no-shows or platform abuse may lead to account suspension.

9. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to: (a) impersonate another person or business, (b) post unlawful, harassing, or misleading content, (c) upload malware or attempt to breach platform security, (d) scrape the Service or republish listings without permission, (e) circumvent fees, or (f) use the Service to contact minors or collect their data.

10. Content you submit

You retain ownership of content you upload (photos, descriptions, reviews). By uploading, you grant Farahak a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host and display the content on the Service and in related marketing of your listing.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you upload. We may remove content that violates these Terms, applicable law, or the rights of others.

11. Liability

Farahak provides the Service "as is" and does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim related to the Service is capped at the commission we received from your related bookings in the prior 12 months, or 100 JOD, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practical.

Termination does not affect obligations that accrued before termination (for example, payment of commissions on bookings already confirmed).

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The competent courts of Amman, Jordan have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
